Umbra

Premiere on Oct 4, at 7 PM and 9 PM

📍 Helsinki, Kalasatama, under the Kulosaari Bridge, between the Redi shopping center and the sea

Free admission! Suitable for all ages.

The perfomance is part of the City of Helsinki's Kalasatama art project.

A unique blend of circus, video art, and music lights up an October evening beneath the bridge. Glowing juggling sticks cut through the air, light bends beneath the feet of a tightrope walker, and a spinning spiral rises skyward. Videos run through the bridge’s structure, while raw yet tender electronic music wraps the audience in a trembling embrace. Umbra is a journey from flicker and noise into the quiet dusk of slow thoughts.

This site-specific performance celebrates the in-between spirit of the space under the bridge, transforming it into a pulsating stage of light and motion. The show features aerial acrobatics, tightrope walking, and juggling.

The piece extends into the surrounding space as a video and light installation. Multi-projector video mapping brings the underside of the bridge and its raw architecture to life, weaving them into the fabric of the performance.
