Immersive artificial forests rise on stage as video art intertwines with object manipulation and juggling in this contemporary circus performance. Maannos sprouts from the video game generation’s yearning for nature and reaches back to its roots deep in the woods. It is a unique blend of live performance and video art, ancient wisdom and technology, the artificial and the sincere.

In this solo piece, circus artist Tuomas Vuorinen traces a path toward meaning and fulfillment by renewing his connection with nature. Perhaps a cure for inner emptiness can be found by following a mysterious childhood dream?  The audience is invited to join Tuomas on a journey into the forest – to seek guidance from animal spirits and to dive into dark, transformative waters.
